How does laser hair removal work?
Before hair removal, a thin gel layer is applied to the skin, protecting it and conducting the light better. The laser device is fine-tuned to the skin colour and hair thickness, from the device comes a powerful beam of light. The pigment in the hairs captures that light and this directs the laser beam to the hair follicle. The energy of the laser beam is converted into heat in the hair follicle. As a result (heating), the hair follicle is destroyed and dies.
